Tips for Success
- Battery management: Bluetooth reduces locator battery life—charge devices fully before field sessions
- Connection distance: Keep your mobile device within 10 feet of the locator for stable connection
- First-time setup: Initial pairing may take a moment—be patient and wait for confirmation
- Tilt technique: Practice the tilt motion with your locator to get consistent depth readings
- RTK accuracy: The vLoc3 RTK Pro provides survey-grade positioning but requires clear sky view
- Pre-field testing: Always test the measurement button sequence (i then +) before leaving for the field
- Multiple locators: If you use multiple Vivax-Metrotech devices, consider labeling them to avoid confusion when selecting in TerraFlow
